The pictures share in common as being religious. Amorsolo treat the subject as part of the Philippine culture as what the colonizers had influenced which is being religious and pray to Angels to have a guidance in everything that Filipino do. A trademark of being a Filipino is can be seen in the painting such as a farmer having a hat and scarf in his shoulder and the female wearing a "saya" which indicate as a sensitive Filipina. Praying together with family, farming as occupation are one of the indication of being Filipino.
