The paintings had the same genre which can be seen as nude and depicted as concubine but the different between the two is that Ingres' break from Neoclassicism, indicating a shift towards erotic romanticism while Boucher's Odalisque was assumed to have resurgence in popularity in the mid-nineteenth century with the advent of Romanticism.
